Off-the-Wall Zaniness, Bizarre Super Villains, Wild Sight-Gags, and Over-the-Top Heroics?It’s all here in this debut collector’s edition BALLOONATIKS DVD! Five ordinary teens are mysteriously transformed into Flator, Squeeker, Airbrain, Sparky, Bouncer and Leaky – otherwise known as The Balloonatiks, rubbery, shape-stretching super heroes sworn to protect Hot Air City against any evil-doer. In their very first animated comedy-adventures, The Balloonatiks take on Mad scientist Dr. Poppemoff and his brainless behemoth in Meet Deflator and wacky villain Mr. Point in Pop Goes the Balloonatiks.

REVIEW:

The Balloonatiks are a group of animated children’s characters that grace a book, some comics, merchandise and now, a DVD with two episodes. The characters are everyday teenagers who have been turned into superheroes with rubbery, springy, balloon bodies that can stretch into unique shapes and sizes. Each Balloonatik character has his or her own special talents and abilities.




I received the Balloonatiks: The Collector’s Set DVD and I watched the two episodes with my 7 & 3yr old. The kids immediately loved the DVD case and thought the idea of balloon superheroes was way cool. I was a little suspicious about the concept but we turned the show on and the kids absolutely LOVED the episodes! The DVD has really cute CGI animation.

I would recommend this DVD for kids aged 3-10.

The Balloonatiks also have an interactive website that you should check out with your kids. If you click on ‘Take Me To Hot Air City” there are all sorts of interactive elements and games for your kids to check out!
